Great Experimentations: A Tale of American Wines

Join us at Vinous Reverie as we taste a flight of wines outside the domestic norm. Break free! Experiment! We'll have a phenomenal dry Riesling (Ravines) from the Finger Lakes region in New York and an off-dry Riesling from one of Oregon's premier wineries (Brooks). Besides being excellent, the other differentiating aspect of this particular Brooks wine is that it only retails at the winery but they granted us these bottles as a special request because we are such big fans. That's right, you can't taste this wine anywhere but the winery. We are also big fans of Idlewild's interpretations of Piedmontese classics. The white is a Malvasia, Arneis and Cortese blend and the red is a Dolcetto / Barbera blend - both scrumptious. The flight finale is with Kivelstadt’s southern Rhone-style blend made from Carignane, Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre. Come to the shop and taste these spectacular American wines that need more attention.
