Jazz & a Nightcap with the Artist: Gerald Clayton

Please join us for Young Professionals Night at the Jazz at the Lesher Series as we welcome four-time GRAMMY® Award-nominated pianist and composer, Gerald Clayton, to Walnut Creek! Clayton, 34-years old, develops musical narratives with harmonic curiosity and critical awareness. Over the course of his acclaimed career, he's performed and/or recorded with such distinguished artist as Diana Krall, Roy Hargrove, Dianne Reeves, John Scofield, Terri Lyne Carrington, and many others.


Gerald Clayton appears with saxophonist Bay Area native, Dayna Stephens, who has performed extensively with Kenny Barron, Ambrose Akinmusire, Taylor Eigsti, Julian Lage, Eric Harland, Gerald Clayton, and many other talents. Jazz Times notes of Stephens, "his big, warm lines are full of notes and intent but also gusts of wind, bodies of water."
