Live! from the Library: The Life of Robert Noble Burgess with James R. Moore, Jr.
Walnut Creek author and retired commercial real estate executive James R. Moore, Jr. will discuss his new book The Life of Robert Noble Burgess, a richly layered and insightful biography of a pioneering land developer and financier whose remarkable career in the first two decades of the 20th century mirrored the social Darwinism of his era and helped to shape Contra Costa County as we know it today.
Books will be available for purchase and signing.
Live! from the Library, produced by the Walnut Creek Library Foundation, features free public lectures, literary events, and cultural programs at the Walnut Creek and Ygnacio Valley libraries. Program sponsors are Walnut Creek Historical Society, East Bay Times, and Minuteman Press Lafayette.
