Finance 102: Cybersecurity and Partnering with the FBI

Supervisory Special Agent Enrique Alvarez of FBI San Francisco’s Cyber Branch will give a presentation on cybersecurity and how the FBI investigates cybercrime. Alvarez will provide an overview of how malicious cyber actors perpetrate cybercrime and how they are organized. He will conclude by describing best practices for protecting yourself from being victimized by computer intrusion. Q&A will follow the presentation.
Enrique M. Alvarez is a Special Agent in the Cyber Branch of the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s San Francisco Field Office. Enrique joined the FBI as a special agent in 2002. At the FBI, Enrique has supervised both counterintelligence and cyber national security squads. He is currently assigned to a multi-agency cyber task force at the Oakland Resident Agency.
