Yours Humanly Break a Sweat for Education 5K Run, Presented by Pacific Service Credit Union, October 1

The 2022 Yours Humanly Break a Sweat for Education® 5K Run & Walk and free Kids Fun Run, presented by Pacific Service Credit Union, will be held on Saturday, October 1, at Heather Farm Park in Walnut Creek. Funds raised by this popular family-friendly event support local and global programs of Yours Humanly, a Northern California-based nonprofit that transforms the lives of children in need around the world by providing access to quality education and equitable resources. Yours Humanly is again partnering with Mt. Diablo Education Foundation, which serves students of the Mt. Diablo Unified School District.

For people who want to support Yours Humanly, but who don't live in the area or can't make the October 1 event, there is a virtual component. Supporters register online as virtual participants, then run or walk their own 5K course wherever they happen to be.

Trophies for the chip-timed 5K run are awarded to the top three overall male and female 5K run finishers, and to the first place male and female 5K run finishers in each age group: 15 & under, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+. 

All in-person 5K and virtual 5K registrants receive an event t-shirt and finisher medal. Kids Fun Run registrants (age 10 and younger) receive a kid’s finisher medal and have an option to purchase an event t-shirt during registration. 

More than an athletic event, however, Break a Sweat for Education 5K Run & Walk and Kids Fun Run is a fundraiser for education and a fun way for people to make a significant difference in the lives of others by helping children in need receive the education they deserve.

Heather Farm Park is located at 301 N. San Carlos Dr, Walnut Creek. Festivities begin at 8am; Kids Fun Run begins at 8:45am; 5K Run & Walk begins at 9am.
