Yours Humanly Break a Sweat for Education 5K Run & Walk, Kids Fun Run

The 2021 Yours Humanly Break a Sweat for Education® 5K Run & Walk and free Kids Fun Run will be held in-person on Saturday, October 2, at Walnut Creek's Heather Farm Park. Funds raised by this popular family-friendly event support local and global programs of Yours Humanly, a Northern California-based nonprofit that transforms the lives of children in need around the world by providing access to quality education and equitable resources. Yours Humanly is again partnering with MDUSD Education Foundation, which serves students of the Mt. Diablo Unified School District.
 
There is also a virtual component for people who want to support Yours Humanly, but who don't live in the area or can't make the October 2 event. Supporters register online as virtual participants, then run or walk their own 5K course wherever they happen to be.

Trophies for the chip-timed 5K run are awarded to the top three overall male and female 5K run finishers, and to the first place male and female 5K run finishers in each age group: 15 & under, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+. 
 
All in-person and virtual 5K registrants receive an event t-shirt and finisher medal, and Kids Fun Run registrants (age 10 and younger) receive a kid’s finisher medal with an option to purchase an event t-shirt during registration.
