About Us

BD Performing Arts, a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, is entirely community-funded and dedicated to inspiring youth ages 8 to 21 through the transformative power of music and performance. Since 1957, we’ve fostered personal growth, instilling values such as dedication, teamwork, and discipline. With over 1,000 current participants and 8,000 alumni, our programs—including the 21-time World Champion Blue Devils, BD Special Needs Guard, and BD Winds—provide world-class training and mentorship. Our mission is to enrich young lives, connect generations, and shape future leaders by transcending barriers and promoting creativity, collaboration, and leadership.

BD Performing Arts emphasizes excellence, equipping youth with the tools to succeed both in the performing arts and in all aspects of life. By connecting them with experienced educators and peers who share a love for music and performance, we create an environment that fosters personal and artistic development.
