About Us
The Friends of the Pleasant Hill Library have proudly supported the Pleasant Hill Library since 1953. In 2020, we expanded from monthly book sales to a retail bookstore in downtown Pleasant Hill which also offered pickup and delivery options. We listed our inventory online, opened our doors, and found an eager audience for our selection of quality used books, CDs, DVDs, audiobooks, puzzles, and games. In 2022, we moved to our larger store at 955 Contra Costa Blvd. We also celebrated the opening of the brand new Pleasant Hill Library and our second store, located within the Library. In 2023, we introduced shipping options. Then in 2024, we opened our third store at Ygnacio Plaza in Walnut Creek. The proceeds from our stores fund programs, resources, and books for our local library.
