Ms. Chao is a valued associate attorney at DLHA Law, working closely to support the litigation, transaction, and employment teams. Ms. Chao graduated from the University of the Pacific before entering Cornell Law School for her juris doctorate degree. During law school, she enjoyed various legal experiences, such as an internship with the Securities Exchange Commission, where she assisted attorneys in the evaluation of initial and annual corporate public filings.  She also worked as a teaching assistant in legal and professional ethics, assisting fellow law students with navigating the professional rules of conduct.

Angela De La Housaye founded De La Housaye & Associates in 2000 in Los Angeles, California.  The business law firm has since expanded to Walnut Creek, California. Ms. De La Housaye began her legal career in civil litigation with a focus on business protection and litigation strategy.  She uses this experiential knowledge in managing DLHA’s litigation practice. Ms. De La Housaye also specializes in the transactional areas of business, mergers and acquisitions, liability protection, succession planning, trade secrets, and proprietary information protection, and employment law.

Deanna Maxfield brings a decade of litigation experience to DLHA. After graduating from
UCLA School of law, she moved to San Francisco and began working in the busy field of
landlord-tenant litigation for two years before finding her passion in employment law. Prior to
joining DLHA, Ms. Maxfield represented employees in matters including discrimination, failure
to accommodate disability, sexual harassment, wage and hour, and executive contract claims.
This perspective allows her to identify and address potential areas of liability for employers prior
to any legal action, as well as understand the most effective means of addressing employee
claims when they do arise.

Shirley Roberson is a Senior Associate Attorney at DLHA, focusing on legal counsel for all aspects of business operations, including intellectual property licensing and development, corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, privacy, regulatory compliance, product distribution and marketing, and employment. Shirley was a founding partner of a Seattle-based firm focused on consumer and commercial bankruptcies.
