Good Morning Walnut Creek: The Economics of Sports
Join us for the inaugural Good Morning Walnut Creek event presented by Visit Walnut Creek! This event will highlight the places and businesses that make Walnut Creek unique. In this event we are focusing the Economics of Sports in our region. We will gather at COPA in the Shadelands SportsMall on November 19th. It is a great opportunity to network before the event with coffee and small bites being provided.
Our main session will feature a sit down with Daniel Rascher (Ph.D in Economics, UC Berkeley) who is a Professor at the University of San Francisco where he teaches and publishes research on sports business, economics, and finance topics with over 70 publications. He is also president of SportsEconomics and partner at OSKR, where he has worked on over 150 sports consulting and litigation projects, including feasibility and economic impact analyses for stadiums and recreational facilities. He has been named Research Fellow of NASSM, was given the Lifetime Achievement Award from ASMA, and won Outstanding Antitrust Litigation Achievement in Economics from the American Antitrust Institute for Alston v. NCAA.
