How to Write a Winning Grant Proposal Seminar - FREE

Thursday, October 9, 2025 (8:00 AM - 4:00 PM) (PDT)

Description

The Arts and Recreation department for the City of Walnut Creek would like to extend an invitation to our community for our upcoming seminar! Please feel free to share among your network.

Registration | FREE

Presenter: Dr. David E. Fraser, Ed.D — is the Chief of Staff for District 5 Supervisor Shanelle Scales-Preston and is a lecturer at CSU East Bay. He is also the author of, "Grantcraft: The Practitioner's Guide to Strategic Funding for Public Service, Healthcare, and the Nonprofit Sector".

During this immersive in-person session, you’ll gain valuable tips, tools, and strategies to help you stand out in the competitive world of grant writing. Learn how to structure proposals effectively, highlight your strengths, and communicate your ideas with clarity and impact. This is a unique opportunity to deepen your understanding of the grant process and build your confidence in crafting compelling proposals.

To keep this seminar free for our attendees, we are currently seeking sponsorship support to help cover the cost of the seminar and hospitality.

Sponsorship Packages can be found on our website.

As a cost-saving measure, we plan to ask attendees to bring their own lunches or visit nearby restaurants during the break unless sponsorship allows us to provide meal options. We also have a fridge for food storage and microwave for reheating options during the seminar.
