Supervisor Karen Mitchoff was sworn in as Contra Costa County District IV Supervisor in January of 2011. Her professional background in the public sector includes working as an Administrative and Fiscal Analyst for the county's Employment and Human Services Department, serving as Chief of Staff for former Supervisors Sunne Wright McPeak and Mark DeSaulnier, and working as the Executive Secretary for former Sheriff-Coroner Richard Rainey. Supervisor Mitchoff worked in the private sector as a legal secretary and family law paralegal for 11 years prior to working in local government.
